Definition:
A dictionary may define taxonomy as 'the classification of biological categories. including the study of how the
formation of species takes place. A taxon (pl. taxa) is a biological category, species for example. Taxonomy is based on the hierarchical concept originated in 1753 by Carl Linnaes.(1707-1778) in the book shown above.
